Jon Kuo is a concept artist and illustrator with over 10 years of professional experience in the video game industry, currently working at Mountaintop Studios he began his career working in small games studios designing interactive social games.
In recent years he has worked as a concept designer for AAA video games, freelance for animation TV series, and film production works such as Battlefield 4, Battlefield 1, Back4Blood, Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous, Animated Transformers Prequel, and so on...
This mentorship has one primary objective: To help you learn how to break down what you are observing and use that information effectively. Throughout the program, you will learn how to deliver a clear visual understanding of the functionality and breakdown of designs in concept art. Jonathan Kuo will take you through the step by step process to develop:Optical clarity of anatomy in designBreakdown for comprehension of tasksPreparation & researchClean sketch communication, painting, and rendering.
At the end of the program, students can expect to deliver concept art that clearly defines the design intent.
No two students' mentorship will be alike, each student to help him/her achieve their individual goals- whether it be to improve their current technical or design skills or to build a portfolio. Each student will receive 1 hrs personalized time with the instructor per week. You can also be a part of hours of critiques and demos with the rest of the group. Students will be expected to devote time in order to accomplish their goals for this program.This is not a class. Our mentorship program is personalized and developed specifically for you.
