This class expands on previous skill sets with an emphasis on finding your filmmaking voice, improving your technical skills, and achieving the maximum impact on your boards. Great importance is placed on the audience experience, pitching, boarding for animatics, and creating pieces that fit your career goals. Basics such as composition and effective shorthands will be reinforced, while advanced topics such as action, acting, pacing, and pitching will be explored.

Trey Buongiorno is currently a Story Artist at Dreamworks Animation working on an unannounced project, previously on The Bad Guys 2 and Kung Fu Panda 4. Before moving to feature, he spent time directing at Disney TVA on Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, Big Hero 6: The Series, and developed/directed Disney’s Chibi Tiny Tales. Other clients include Nickelodeon, Sony, and Mattel. He is also the author of a manga-style webcomic called Element.
