What is a storyboard revisionist? This 8-week introductory class will prepare students for their entry level position for storyboarding in animation. Students will learn the draftsmanship skills necessary for the job, such as understanding structure, proportions, breaking down different character shapes, character acting, perspective, and camera work. The first half of the class will be spent learning these foundational skills, and the second half will focus on what goes into the revisionist role. The emphasis will be on developing the necessary skill sets to make you a versatile artist and why that is important for working in animation as a storyboard revisionist.
This course is 8 weeks in duration and meets once per week for 3 hours per meeting.
Each week, the online classes are live at the specified time (PST timezone) in a private GOTO-MEETING classroom. Classes are recorded and students can rewatch via stream for the duration of the term. Class links, teachers notes, class recordings along with homework submission will be hosted on a private class DISCORD. The DISCORD link will be sent approximately 5-7 days prior to your class start date to the registered email address.
