John Park, a native of southern California, cultivated a passion for art from an early age. In 2006, he was granted a full scholarship to attend the Pasadena Art Center College of Design, where he pursued a major in industrial design with a focus on entertainment design. After completing his studies, John embarked on his professional journey by joining Gore Verbinski's studio, known as Blind Wink, as a junior designer. Over the course of three years, he honed his skills and contributed to the development of various intellectual properties (IPs). Recognizing his talent and dedication, John swiftly rose to the position of lead concept designer, undertaking diverse visual tasks.
Eager to explore the realm of filmmaking, John seized the opportunity to work as a designer and storyboard artist on Verbinski's project, "The Lone Ranger." Following the completion of this venture, he set out on a creative pursuit and assumed the role of Art Director at Adhesive Games. His responsibilities centered around a mech fighter game titled "Hawken," where he spent three years overseeing art direction and managing the outsource department. During his tenure at Adhesive Games, John also ventured into teaching and established his own school to impart his knowledge and expertise.
After gaining valuable experience in the video game industry, John returned to his passion for film design. He lent his artistic talents to renowned projects such as "Godzilla," "Transformers 4," "Maze Runner," "Paranormal Activities," "Deadpool," "Dumbo," "War of the Planet of the Apes," "Star Wars: Rogue One," "Battle Angel," "Ad Astra," "Deadpool 2," "Wonder Woman 2," "Jungle Cruise," and the upcoming "Avatar" sequels helmed by James Cameron. Throughout his career, John Park's artistic vision and contributions have left an indelible mark on the worlds of both gaming and cinema.
