FND B is a drawing-focused class that is meant to run concurrently with FND A. The goal of the class is to focus students drawing skills towards a design outcome, with a special focus on design proportions and functionality. This is an ideal class for students who want to position their existing drawing skills towards a design-oriented outcome and ideally suited as a lead-in class to classes such as AD1 or WB1. Students can expect to finish the class with a solid understanding of how to leverage their drawing skills to maximize their understanding of real-world objects, an understanding that will, going forward, allow them to better design their own props or environments in a more fantastical setting.
- Understanding natural and man-made proportions
- Approaching studies specific to design sketching
- Building a visual library for both Fantasy and Science Fiction designs
- A stronger understanding of Forms, Transitions, and Surfaces
*** This class will shift to 3:00pm (PST) once Daylight Savings Time commences (Nov 2nd)
